The cool lines, colors, and patterns in this wood happen because of different fungi breaking down the wood as it decays in nature, a thing called spalting. Once it's dry, this natural process stops, leaving behind some really unique and sought-after wood. This bowl was a little off center during the finishing of the top edge and is a little thinner on one side of the top edge than the rest of the top, giving it an extra bit of natural charm and making it even more special. Enjoy the cool craftsmanship and natural beauty of spalted maple with this awesome handcrafted bowl. This bowl is finished with walnut oil and then polished with Carnuba Wax, Measures approx. 5 3/4 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches tall.
